HY Architects recently completed three separate, yet similar, Elementary School campuses for the District – Bubb Elementary, Landels Elementary, and Huff (Imai) Elementary. The projects at the three campus sites were managed in two phases for new construction and modernization. All three campuses had an estimated construction cost of $14M per campus, totaling $42M.

Phase I of the projects included:

• Design and construction of a new 6,000 sf multipurpose building

• Relocation of five – eight portables per site to provide space for the new multipurpose building

• Site work for new fire loop road and hydrants

Phase II of the projects included:

• General modernizations including lighting controls, emergency evaluation systems, ADA Upgrades, replacement HVAC equipment, finishes, and cabinetry

• Conversion of the existing multipurpose space into a library and special education classrooms

• Expansion of standard classroom areas (960 sf) by 400 sf for conversion to kindergarten classrooms

• Extensive remodeling of the Administration building
